WORKSHOPS - Potato Printing Dragon Scales

All the dragon scales for the body of the dragon were made by visitors to the exhibition in a series of potato printing workshops which I ran in the exhibition space at Nunnington Hall, these were are all drop-in workshops and attracted visitors of all ages. They were great fun to run and the outcome looks amazing!

EXHIBITION - Creatures of Curiosity, Exhibition Images

Here's a few exhibition images of other works that are on display in the Creatures of Curiosity exhibition, the Kirkdale Cave room features some amazing work by Tim Hopgood, a children's author and illustrator, he illustrated creatures, such as hyenas, lions and long tusked elephants, once native to the region.

There is also a case with sensory textile creations created by Tim's wife Wanda Szajna-Hopgood based on Tim's illustrations

In the room with my dragon is a wall of dragon eyes created by children in workshops run by myself and Rosie (i will be rotating having different eyes on my dragon that the children created during the exhibition run)...

Some fabulous creatures have been created by schoolchildren in felt, these were created in workshops run by the very talented textile artist Serena Partridge...

There is also a wall for visitors to include their own creatures of Curiosity!

...and a wall of Hobs, as well as a hob trail within the spectacular garden of Nunnington Hall

And a reading space at the end of the exhibition with lots more of the children's artwork on display 💓
